Everybody knows how frustrating can be to have to do maths with an examiner sat next to you whilst flying an aeroplane.
With a Pilot’s Pen, life gets much easier during navigation exercises especially when asked to divert from your planned course. I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely terrible at doing even simple calculations in my head. If you are just like me please keep reading.
AVRUL was initially called 4P Pen(yes, I know it’s rubbish name) and was crowdfunded on Kickstarter by fellow Pilots. Thankfully Tom came up with the ingenious name AVRUL ( AViation RULer ). Now this pen is a fact and is here to help student pilots prepare easier for the navigation part of their skills test.
Get your AVRUL now and pass with flying colours.
HOW IT WORKS?
- Switch it on to extend the tip. Measurements are accurate when measured from the extended tip of the pen!
- Measure the distance on the chart using the blue stripe along the barrel.
- Note the distance and simply read your flight time in minutes opposite your ground speed.
- In case the clip of the pen is obstructing the readings, simply slide it around.
It is as easy as one-two-three. With AVRUL diversions are made easy!
